Croc Shaman Miniature - Late Night Miniatures

For millennia the primordial marshes absorbed everything the world threw at them. Floods came and receded, species rose and collapsed, and the wetlands bent without grievance and continued. Then came canals, poisons seeping into the roots, ancient water rerouted into concrete veins that fed only machines and profit.

Pushed to the brink, the wounded earth stopped adapting and chose vengeance instead. The marsh gathered its grief into something ancient and enormous, something with teeth. He was born out of the choked and bloody muck, not a gentle steward of reeds and water but a warlord of rot and root. Where the wetlands once whispered, now they roar.

The borders push outward in every direction, swallowing industrial cities block by block, collapsing their foundations into soft black mud. Villages without walls or warning are consumed without record, their names surviving only in the mouths of refugees. The marsh remembers every inch of what was taken, and nothing in it says stop.
